Bart van Velzen

Bart van Velzen is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in subsea engineering and project management within the offshore renewable energy and oil & gas sectors. Currently serving as Project Engineering Manager at Seaway7 since February 2022, Bart previously held roles including Lead Engineer and Subsea Engineer at Van Oord, where involvement in various projects and tenders encompassed scour protection and protective rock berm designs. Bart's career began with foundational roles such as Technical Trainee at Boskalis and internships at Witteveen+Bos, Deltares, and Spears & Stijnman. Bart holds a Master of Science in Coastal Engineering from Delft University of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, also from Delft University of Technology, complemented by studies at The University of Queensland.
