Kaitlin C. Bottock is currently the Assistant Director in the Division of Investment Management at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Previously, Kaitlin served as Senior Counsel in the Chief Counsel's Office and as Branch Chief in the Division of Investment Management from 2014 to 2022. Prior to joining the SEC, Kaitlin was an Associate at Dechert LLP and completed a summer internship at the Federal Public Defender's Office in 2009. Kaitlin earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts with High Honors in Economics, Political and Social Thought from the University of Virginia.
