Lei Yu is a seasoned financial economist currently serving at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in the Division of Economic and Risk Analysis, Office of Risk Assessment since May 2015. Previously, Lei held positions as a researcher at Millennium Management, a quant trader at Laurion Capital, and a vice president at Goldman Sachs. Lei's career also includes roles as a visiting economist at the New York Stock Exchange and an assistant professor at the University of Notre Dame. Lei earned a Ph.D. in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and a B.S. in Economics from Beijing Normal University.
