Wiebe Ruttenberg

Wiebe Ruttenberg has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and sectors. Wiebe currently serves as the Director of Strategy at SecAlliance, a cyber threat intelligence company. Prior to that, they were a CREST EU Council member at CREST, an international membership body representing the global cyber security industry.

Earlier in their career, Ruttenberg held various positions at the European Central Bank, including Program Director for Cyber Resilience Strategy and Senior Adviser for Technological Innovation. Wiebe also served as the Head of the Market Integration Division, where they were responsible for policy issues related to payments, securities, and collateral.

Before joining the European Central Bank, Ruttenberg worked at De Nederlandsche Bank, where they held roles such as Head of Payment Systems Policy Department and Deputy Head of Cash Policy Department. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Financial and Economic Policy Adviser at the Ministry of Finance.

Ruttenberg's early career includes roles at the Ministry of Finance, where they served as the Coordinator of the Euro-project team and as a Senior Financial and Economic Policy Adviser. Wiebe also has experience as an Executive Board Member at the General Association Dutch Military Personnel.

Throughout their career, Ruttenberg has demonstrated expertise in cyber security, financial market infrastructures, market integration, and policy development. Wiebe has also played key roles in leading and coordinating initiatives in these areas.

Wiebe Ruttenberg attended Tilburg University from 1985 to 1992, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Economics. In 2019, they also completed the Non-Executive Director Programme at Nyenrode Business University.
