Joel Mott

Joel Mott is an experienced music educator and worship leader with a diverse background in performance and instruction. Currently serving as the Pastor of Music at Second Baptist Church in Houston, TX since May 2010, Joel has also worked as a freelance arranger, producer, orchestrator, musician, and teacher since 1994. Previous roles include Pastor of Worship at First Baptist Church of Mustang, OK, and Associate Pastor of Worship at Henderson Hills Baptist Church. Joel has held teaching positions at the University of Central Oklahoma and the University of Oklahoma, where responsibilities included leading jazz ensembles and instructing applied trumpet. As Principal Trumpet with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Joel has showcased talent as a soloist in various performances. An alumnus of the Eastman School of Music with a Master's in Jazz Performance and Classical Trumpet and the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor's in Music Education, Joel Mott continues to contribute significantly to the field of music.
