Donnie Hasseltine, CISM

Donnie Hasseltine has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Donnie started their career in the US Marine Corps, where they served for 22 years and attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During their time in the military, Donnie commanded and deployed at various levels, including combat tours to Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

After leaving the Marine Corps in 2019, Donnie joined Xenon Partners as the Chief Security Officer, where they provided operational expertise to software and technology companies. Donnie also served as the CEO of TeamPassword, a subsidiary of Xenon Partners, before becoming a board advisor for the same company.

In 2021, Donnie took on the role of Chief Executive Officer at Packagecloud, a hosted package repository service. Donnie was responsible for providing a developer-friendly interface for software artifacts and distributing services for organizations like GitHub, GitLab, Netflix, and Digital Ocean. Prior to this, they briefly served as the Director of Operations & Security Strategy at Packagecloud.

Donnie also had experience working in the academic sector as a Veteran Fellow at The Hoover Institution, Stanford University. In this role, they integrated public policy scholarship with military veterans to bring innovation and action to policy awareness and implementation.

Additionally, Donnie participated in the Presidential Leadership Scholars program in 2022, where they honed their leadership skills and connected with other leaders in various fields.

Most recently, in 2023, Donnie joined Second Front Systems as the Chief of Staff.

Donnie Hasseltine has an extensive education history. Donnie holds an Executive Master Degree in Cybersecurity from Brown University. In addition, they have a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College. Donnie also completed the Post-Graduate Intelligence Program at the National Intelligence University, earning a Diploma in Strategic Intelligence and completing coursework for a Master of Science degree. Donnie Hasseltine pursued their undergraduate studies at Virginia Military Institute, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, with a minor in English. Prior to their college education, they completed their high school studies at Jesuit High School of New Orleans, where they received a Diploma. Donnie Hasseltine has also obtained certifications including Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from (ISC)² and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA.
