Todd Seiger is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in reimbursement and financial management within the healthcare sector. Currently serving as Vice President of Reimbursement at Leonhardt Ventures and Cal-X Stars Business Accelerator Inc since June 2014, Todd has established educational seminars on circulatory assist reimbursement and designed net margin templates for LVAD and transplant programs nationwide. Previously, Todd held the position of Pharmacy Regional Business Manager at Providence Health & Services from June 2001 to September 2020, where responsibilities included high-cost outpatient infusion margin analysis and expansion of pharmacotherapy clinics. Additionally, Todd served as Transplant and Mechanical Heart Business Manager, leading efforts that resulted in over $10 million in increased reimbursement for the transplant service line. Earlier in the career, Todd was the Managing Partner at VAD Consulting Group, providing essential training and resources for mechanical circulatory support programs. Todd holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Washington State University.

Second Heart is developing a minimally invasive circulatory support platform based on proprietary aortic stent pump technology. The platform will be deployed using low-profile catheter-based techniques and will provide either temporary or chronic circulatory support, depending on the specific needs of the patient. Second Heart's initialproduct will be a catheter-based temporary assist pump to treat patients with acute decompensated heart failure and to provide circulatory support to those undergoing high-risk percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The second application will be a wirelessly powered circulatory assist pump that will provide chronic circulatory support for heart failure patients.
