Alison Schumacher has a diverse professional background in donor engagement, major gifts, marketing, and public relations. With experience in both the nonprofit and legal sectors, Alison has held various leadership roles in organizations such as The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Girls Incorporated of Greater Indianapolis, and Indiana Philanthropy Alliance. Alison's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Macalester College. Currently serving as the Donor Engagement Director at Second Helpings, Alison brings a wealth of experience in fundraising and relationship-building to their role.

Second Helpings
Since 1998, Second Helpings has accepted donated perishable and overstocked food to prepare nutritious meals for thousands of hungry children and adults every day, and distributes them free of charge through local social service agencies in Greater Indianapolis. Second Helpings also trains unemployed and underemployed adults for meaningful careers in the culinary industry.
