Joshua Bassi has extensive experience in security and protection within humanitarian contexts, currently serving as a Security Assistant at Secours Islamique France since September 2022, where responsibilities include implementing security protocols and managing security documentation. Prior experience includes working as a Protection Officer at INTERSOS from March 2020 to October 2022, focusing on protection mainstreaming, monitoring, community engagement, data collection, and capacity building regarding protection standards. Additionally, Joshua has served as a MHPSS Team Leader and Security Focal Point, conducting psycho-social counseling for GBV survivors. Earlier roles include Registrar at the National Population Commission, where awareness on family planning was promoted, and Administrative Assistant at Stephen Seeds and Allied Services, assisting in financial management. Joshua holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography from the University of Maiduguri, completed in 2016.
