Eirik Pettersen

Eirik Pettersen is the current Chief Technology Officer at Secret Escapes. Eirik has previously held the position of VP Digital and Moonfruit CTO at hibu, Group CTO at Gandi Group Ltd, and Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder at Moonfruit. Eirik has also worked as a Consulting Manager at FAME Information Services and an Associate at Kaiser Associates.

Eirik has dedicated their career to developing innovative technology solutions. Eirik has played a key role in transforming hibu from a predominantly print-based business to a digital marketing services company. Their work at Moonfruit served as the basis for hibu's build-it-for-me website offer, which was a core part of the transformation strategy.

As Chief Technology Officer, Eirik is responsible for leading Secret Escapes' technology team and overseeing all technical aspects of the business. Eirik is passionate about using technology to create positive change and improve the customer experience. Under their leadership, Secret Escapes has developed groundbreaking features such as virtual reality tours of hotels, which allow customers to explore their holiday destination before booking.

Eirik is a skilled technologist with a proven track record of successful product development. Eirik is an expert in web technologies and has a deep understanding of how to use technology to drive business growth.

Eirik Pettersen has a PhD in Physics from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in Physics from Imperial College London.
