Sam Palmer

Sam Palmer is a skilled web developer with extensive experience in both frontend and backend technologies. Currently employed at Secret Escapes since June 2018, Sam has developed a React component library using CSS in JS library Emotion and Typescript, focusing on test-driven development. Prior to that, Sam worked as a Java Web Developer at Topia from October 2014 to June 2018, where responsibilities included converting a Java monolith into microservices with Spring Boot and JPA. Earlier in the career, from October 2011 to October 2014, Sam served as an IT Applications Support Specialist at Easynet Group, enhancing off-the-shelf applications and in-house software. Sam holds a BSc in Computing, specializing in Software Development and Java Programming, from The Open University, completed in 2011, and attended Urmston Grammar School from 1997 to 2004.
