Cristina Manzano

Cristina Manzano is an accomplished professional in the fields of journalism and international relations, currently serving as Directora de relaciones externas at the Secretaría General Iberoamericana (SEGIB) since August 2023. Manzano holds the position of Presidenta Patronato at Alianza por la Solidaridad - Action Aid and has been a member of the Consejo Español at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) since May 2015. Additionally, Manzano has contributed to the Real Instituto Elcano as a member of the Consejo Científico since August 2014. From March 2020 to August 2023, Manzano directed IE Insights at IE University and has been a columnist for Diario EL PAÍS and El Periódico de Catalunya, as well as a collaborator for Hora 25, Cadena SER. With a rich background in media, including a long tenure as directora at esglobal and experience as subdirectora general and directora de comunicación at FRIDE, Manzano holds a Licenciatura in Ciencias de la Información-Periodismo from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Master's degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland.
