Jerry Carpenter

Mr. Carpenter is an Associate Director of Secretariat, based in its Houston office. Mr. Carpenter has over 7 years of experience in the construction industry, specializing in managing wide-ranging facets of large heavy industrial, oil & gas and petrochemical projects. He has a broad practical understanding of the numerous and evolving project delivery methods including EPC, EPCm, Direct Hire and CM at risk, as well the unique management challenges of each.

Mr. Carpenter’s experience spans the life cycle of mega-projects, from estimating and proposals through engineering and subcontractor management, detailed planning and execution during construction to pre-commissioning and client handover.

In the forensic and dispute environment, Mr. Carpenter applies real-world approaches to the complexities of as-planned vs. as-built schedule analyses, critical path evaluations, productivity studies, causation and data integration / management. He is responsible for developing clear, concise and accurate reports of complex analyses.

Mr. Carpenter is a graduate of Morehead State University with a BS in Engineering Technology and a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a MSE in Engineering Management. He is a veteran of the United States Army and served one tour of duty in Afghanistan specializing in counter-IED efforts.
