Ovidiu Sabou

Ovidiu Sabou has worked in various roles in the technology industry throughout their career. Ovidiu started as a software developer at Nethrom in 2006, where they focused on developing 3D graphics software for the virtual construction industry.

In 2008, Ovidiu co-founded AnswerJoy and served as a back-end software developer. Ovidiu participated in the design and implementation of a browser-based educational quiz platform, where they wrote the highly concurrent back-end in Erlang.

Ovidiu then joined Yonder in 2010, where they initially worked as a Senior Developer. Ovidiu wrote a Silverlight client for a business application framework and developed a document indexing and analysis portal using Solr, OpenOffice.org, Python, and Django. Later on, Ovidiu took on the role of Software Architect, where they designed modern architectures and renewal phases for mature solutions using various web-oriented technologies.

In 2016, Ovidiu joined Sector Labs as a CTO, where they were responsible for leading the technology strategy of the company.

Most recently, Ovidiu joined Dubizzle Group in 2018 as their Chief Technology Officer, overseeing the company's technology operations.

Throughout their career, Ovidiu has gained expertise in various programming languages, including C++, Python, Java, JavaScript, and Erlang. Ovidiu has also worked on projects involving 3D graphics software, business applications, and browser-based platforms.

Ovidiu Sabou completed their BSc in Computer Science at Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca from 2005 to 2008. Ovidiu then pursued their MSc in Intelligent Systems from the same university, graduating in 2010.
