Vlad Danciu

Vlad Danciu has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Vlad is currently the CEO of Sector Labs, a position they have held since 2016. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Engineering at Dubizzle Group starting in 2018.

From 2011 to 2016, Vlad worked at National Instruments as a Group Manager and was responsible for managing the LabVIEW FPGA teams in Romania.

Before that, they spent several years at Yonder, where they held the position of Project Manager. During their time there, they managed various projects, including leading the development team for a 3D visualization component in the construction industry, initiating and leading the Mobile Development Program, and managing multiple projects and clients simultaneously.

In 2001, Vlad founded Target Software SRL, a company they ran until 2004. Prior to that, they worked at Nethrom, where they served as a Project Leader from 1998 to 2001 and as a Programmer from 1996 to 1998.

Vlad has gained expertise in various tools and technologies throughout their career such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Visio, TestTrack, Inkscape, Mercurial, Perforce, C++ (STL), C# (.NET Framework 2-3.5), Python, Java, HOOPS, OpenSceneGraph, OpenGL, Versant DB, UML, Design Patterns, Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, and iOS.

Vlad Danciu obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Automatization from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca, where they studied from 1994 to 2001. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including "Machine Learning: Regression" from the University of Washington, "People Analytics" from Wharton, University of Pennsylvania, "Algorithms: Design and Analysis, Part 1" from Stanford University, "Financial Markets" from Yale University, "Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach" from the University of Washington, "Managing the Company of the Future" from the University of London, "Introduction to Finance" from the University of Michigan, and "VLSI CAD: Logic to Layout" from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Vlad also holds a Project Manager Professional certification from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in 2008.
