Cody Lopez

Cody Lopez has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2008, they worked at Smokey Pig BBQ, LLC, where they served as a Cashier, Utility Worker, Cook, and Director of Social Media. In 2011, they founded and owned C-Jay Entertainment, providing entertainment services for events. Cody also worked at Virginia Cooperative Extension as a Youth Development Professional and at the W.E. Skelton 4-H Educational Conference Center at Smith Mountain Lake as an Evening Programs Coordinator and Lead Team Building/Low Ropes Course Facilitator. At Virginia Tech, they held positions such as a Public Relations Manager, HokieBird Mascot, Resident Advisor, and Referee/Official. In their recent roles at Secured Tech Solutions, Cody served as an Account Manager, Regional Solutions Manager, Mid-Atlantic Relationship Manager, Customer Experience Manager, and Director of Revenue Operations. Cody is also involved in the nonprofit sector, serving as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Musical Empowerment and holding various positions at College Mentors for Kids, Inc., including Senior Associate Director of Programming, Associate Director of Programming, Expansion Associate, and Expansion Fellow. Overall, Cody has demonstrated a strong background in customer relationship management, sales, marketing, leadership, and program development.

Cody Lopez obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they received an Advanced Studies Diploma from Magna Vista High School from 2008 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications including Revenue Operations and HubSpot Sales Software from HubSpot Academy, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt from Community Health Network, QPR Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention Certification from the QPR Institute, Lifeguard/CPR/AED from the American Red Cross, and Team Building Facilitator/Low Ropes Course from the Virginia Cooperative Extension.
