Mike Samuel

Mike Samuel is a seasoned professional in the investment and real estate sectors, currently serving as a Senior Investment Officer for Securian Asset Management since April 2015, where responsibilities include sourcing mortgage loan opportunities, managing correspondent relationships, and leading due diligence processes. Previously, Mike held the position of Director of Global Real Estate at TIAA-CREF, overseeing a diverse portfolio of multifamily and commercial assets valued over $450 million. Experience also includes a role as Senior Associate at Transwestern, focusing on mezzanine loans and distressed assets, along with an internship at Bayerische Landesbank, where Mike developed financial models and presented capital structure analyses. Mike holds an MBA in Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BA in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
