Frank van Summeren is a seasoned professional in the field of safety and security, currently serving as Project Leader for Digital Safety at the Vereniging van Nederlandse Gemeenten (VNG) since March 2024. With extensive experience as an educator at various institutions such as NCOI and Bestuursacademie Nederland, Frank contributes to the development of safety professionals through in-company training and educational programs. As an advisor at RONT Management Consultants, Frank offers insights into safety for both the government and private sectors. Frank plays a key role as a Portfolio Coach at EVC Centrum Nederland, guiding professionals in validating their competencies, and holds a position as a core lecturer for the HBO Security Management program at LOI. Involvement with organizations like KNVB and Security Delta highlights Frank’s commitment to enhancing safety in public events and strengthening cyber resilience. Frank's educational background includes degrees in Public Administration and Integral Safety from leading Dutch universities.

Security Delta (HSD) is the Dutch security cluster. Over 275 companies, governmental organisations and knowledge institutions have been working together since 2013 to make a difference in securing our digitising society. They share their knowledge and collaborate on innovative security solutions, which can be scaled within the Netherlands and internationally. HSD 'thinks, dares and acts'. By providing access to knowledge, innovation, market, finance, and talent, HSD takes care of the preconditions for a successful security cluster. The HSD Campus in The Hague is the cluster’s inspiring meeting place.
