Michael C. Strange

Michael C. Strange has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations. Michael C. started their career in 1993 at Bank of America, where they worked in commercial lending and managed a portfolio of accounts. Michael C. then moved to Security Federal Bank in 2007, holding the position of VP | Business Development - Commercial Lending, where they assisted small to middle-market businesses with their commercial banking needs. In 2012, they became the Executive Director at Eau Claire Development Corporation and Richland-Lexington Council on Aging, overseeing property management, construction planning, and grant administration for affordable housing initiatives. Michael C. continued in a similar role as Executive Director at TN Development Corp and Columbia Housing Development Corp from 2016 to 2020, managing property and development of multi-family affordable housing. Currently, they are the Executive Vice President at Security Federal Bank, responsible for community development, public affairs, and diversity and inclusion.

Michael C. Strange obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Banking and Finance from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, which they attended from 1987 to 1991. Michael C. has also acquired additional certifications in Intercultural/Multicultural and Diversity Studies from the Riley Institute at Furman University in 2022, Diversity and Inclusion Certification from Cornell University in 2020, and Economic Development Finance Professional from the National Development Council in 2014.
