Joshua Brower

Joshua Brower has extensive work experience in the field of information security and technology. Joshua most recently worked as a Senior Engineer at Security Onion Solutions, LLC, starting in August 2019. Prior to that, Joshua was the Owner of Defensive Depth, a company they founded in 2005. Joshua also served as an Information Security Officer at Pioneers from August 2014 to July 2019. Before that, they held positions at New Tribes Mission, including Director of IT Operations & Security from March 2011 to August 2014, and Network & System Administrator from May 2008 to February 2011.

Joshua Brower earned their Bachelor's Degree in Cross-Cultural Communication from Ethnos360 in 2008. Joshua then pursued further education and obtained a Master's Degree in Information Security Engineering from the SANS Technology Institute in 2017. In addition to their degrees, Brower also obtained several certifications such as GCFA Gold, GCPM, GCIA Gold, GCIH Gold, GSEC Gold, and GIAC Security Expert Certification (GSE), which they received from various institutions including GIAC and GIAC Certifications between 2008 and 2016.
