Senior Principal SIEM Architect at Securonix

Nicholas Ritter has extensive work experience in the field of IT consulting and security. Nicholas started their career in 1993 as a Consultant, providing consulting services for home and business environments. Nicholas has experience with Apple, Microsoft, various PC platforms, and Unix platforms including Linux, MachTen, and BSD.

In 1995, they became a Network Manager at Lake Forest Country Day School, where they designed and managed networks, server, and desktop deployments using Mac, PC, and Unix platforms.

From 1998 to 2005, Nicholas worked as a Network Administrator at Lake Forest College, where they were responsible for managing a mixed-protocol Ethernet network and integrating servers and workstations running various operating systems. Nicholas also implemented a network registration/asset system for tighter security and better end-user support.

From 2005 to 2014, they served as a Network Services Engineer at AmericanTV, where they handled network systems engineering, support, and management, including Cisco, Dell, Aruba, and CoyotePoint/Fortinet hardware.

In 2014, Nicholas joined LogRhythm as a Professional Services Consultant, specializing in SIEM solutions. Nicholas worked with LogRhythm customers to implement LogRhythm products and ensure compliance with industry standards.

In 2017, they transitioned to the role of Senior Consultant and Team Lead at LogRhythm, where they continued to provide consulting services and lead a team. Nicholas also served as a Sales Engineer for Global Solutions Integrators.

In 2020, Nicholas joined Securonix as a Senior Solutions Engineer, contributing to the company's cybersecurity solutions. Nicholas then became the Manager of Global Technology Enablement in 2021 before moving to ReversingLabs as the Senior Director of Field Operations and Solutions Architecture. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Principal SIEM Architect at Securonix, starting in 2022.

Nicholas Ritter's education history includes attending the University of Phoenix from 1998 to 2000, where they studied Information Systems. Prior to that, they attended Ripon College from 1994 to 1995, majoring in Computer Science and Music. In addition, Nicholas has obtained various certifications such as Leadership & Executive Accelerated Development: Core from Alonos in 2021, GIAC Information Security Professional from GIAC Certifications in 2017, Certified SonicWALL Security Administrator from Dell SonicWall in 2012, Aruba Certified Mobility Associate from Aruba Networks in 2012, LogRhythm Certified Administrator from LogRhythm in 2010, and AlienVault Certified Administrator and Engineer from AlienVault in 2009.
