Héctor Barreiro Cabrera

Héctor Barreiro Cabrera is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in simulation frameworks, augmented reality, and virtual reality. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at SEDDI since July 2022, Héctor previously held positions as a Software Engineer at Meta, focusing on R&D for AR/VR simulation, and as a Student Researcher at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, where research involved constraint-based models for viscous and viscoelastic fluids. Additional experience includes a Research Intern role at Meta, a brief internship at Ultraleap, and previous research positions at Next Limit and IRTIC. Héctor holds a PhD in Computer Science and a Master's degree in Computer Graphics, Videogames and Virtual Reality from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, along with a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Engineering from the University of Valencia.
