Kate Johnstone MBA, GAICD has extensive experience in the field of risk management and compliance. Kate currently serves as the Chief Risk Officer at Sedgwick, where they are responsible for developing and maintaining an effective governance, risk, and compliance management framework. Prior to this role, they held the position of Insurance Chief Risk Officer at RACQ, where they led the strategic uplift of the insurance risk and compliance program. Kate has also worked at Allianz as the Head of Operational Compliance, Youi Insurance as the Head of Compliance & Privacy Officer, and Suncorp Group in various roles, including Chief Privacy Officer. Kate has demonstrated leadership in implementing compliance policies and frameworks and ensuring remedial action is taken for risks outside tolerance. Additionally, Kate has served as a Non-Executive Director on the board of Our Atmosphere, a not-for-profit organization focusing on environmental enhancement and awareness. Kate also held the position of Non-Executive Director at iapp ANZ, an association for privacy professionals in Australia and New Zealand.
