Emily Nicholls has a strong background in fundraising and engagement. Emily recently joined SeeAbility as the Head of Public Fundraising and Engagement, where they are responsible for driving growth in public fundraising, volunteering, and digital insight. Prior to this, they worked at St Raphael's Hospice, where they held various roles including Head of Donor Development and Community Fundraising Manager. In these positions, they managed teams and oversaw community, events, corporate, and trust fundraising efforts. Emily has demonstrated their ability to maximize income, develop new leads, and provide support to donors and fundraisers. Emily has extensive experience in the fundraising sector and is a valuable asset to any organization.
Emily Nicholls completed a Certificate in Fundraising (Distinction) from the Institute of Fundraising in 2014-2015. Prior to that, they studied Social Sciences at the University of Bath from 2008 to 2012. In 2006-2008, Emily attended Reigate College, where they studied PE, Psychology, and Biology.

SeeAbility is a 200-year-old registered UK charity that supports people with sight loss and multiple disabilities, including learning and physical disabilities, mental health difficulties, acquired brain injury and life-limiting conditions. We provide specialist support enabling people to develop the skills and make the choices they want, to enjoy a fulfilling life with as much independence as possible. We also share our expert knowledge to raise awareness and improve eye care for people with learning disabilities, acting as the national voice on behalf of children and adults with sight loss and multiple disabilities, challenging health inequalities faced by those people and their families, and ultimately preventing avoidable sight loss.
