Emmanuel "Sato" Ridad has had a long and successful career in the financial industry. Emmanuel "Sato" began their professional career in 1996 as a Co-founder and Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Planning at Net Curricula Inc., an education technology company. In 2000, they joined LBC Express, Inc. as Senior Vice President of Business Development E-Commerce, where they led a team of 15 members responsible for digital transformation. From 2002 to 2009, they were President and Chief Operating Officer of Professional Financial Plans, where they provided pension, education, loans and insurance products and increased the company's industry ranking to #5 from #12 in 3 years. During this time, they also served as Adjunct Faculty at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business and the Asian Institute of Management. In 2011, they joined Maybank ATR Kim Eng Securities Inc. as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Group Head of a 12-member team for the online retail stock trading. From 2015 to 2019, they worked as an Independent Consultant, Business Strategist, working with various businesses such as Digital Construction Modeling (BIM), Renewable Energy (Biomass), Food Manufacturing and Distribution (SLERS), Alcoholic Beverage (LAKAN), Supermarket Chain (Landers) Education Institution (St. Paul University, Manila) and Post office (Philippine Postal Corporation). Finally, in 2019, they became President and CEO of Seedbox Philippines, a Wealth Tech Hub (mobile and web application) that is the platform partner of GInvest in GCash. Under their leadership, they formed a management team strong in creative execution and launched different brands (BDO, Metrobank, Landbank, ATRAM). This resulted in the increase in the user base from 500k to over 3.
Emmanuel "Sato" Ridad received a Masters in Economic History from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), a Master of Business Administration - MBA from the Asian Institute of Management, a Juris Doctor, Law from the Ateneo School of Law, and an AB Management Economics from Ateneo de Manila University.
