Tom McGinn

Tom McGinn serves as the General Counsel at Northzone since July 2021 and has been a Mentor at Seedcamp since November 2023. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate at Cooley LLP from September 2017 to July 2021, where advice was provided to high growth companies, their founders, investors, and acquirers. Tom was also an Associate at Osborne Clarke LLP from February 2014 to September 2017, focusing on M&A and venture financings, and briefly worked as a Legal Counsel for Microsoft's UK retail and consumer business in the summer of 2015. Tom began in the legal field as an Intern at King & Wood Mallesons in 2013. Educational qualifications include a LPC from The University of Law, a Magister der Rechte from Universität des Saarlandes, and a dual degree in LL.B/Magister der Rechte from the University of Exeter, alongside an exchange program at China University of Political Science and Law in 2010.
