Seeds of Literacy
Jeri Taylor is an experienced professional currently serving as a Search Consultant at Reneris since June 2022, specializing in executive and management consulting primarily within the Real Estate and Non-Profit sectors. In addition to consulting, Jeri contributes as a volunteer Literacy Tutor for Seeds of Literacy, helping adults in Cleveland achieve basic education and GED preparation, and has previously volunteered as an English as a Second Language Tutor with English At Large. Jeri has a background in education, having worked as a Substitute Teacher for Winchester Public Schools from March 2017 to June 2021. Earlier career roles include Business Consultant at Hyster-Yale Group, Project Leader at The Standard, and Economic Development Specialist at PacifiCorp. Jeri holds a Bachelor's degree in Business and French Studies from Lewis & Clark College.

Seeds of Literacy
Seeds of Literacy brings together people of diverse backgrounds in order to help break a root cause of poverty: illiteracy. Since 1997, Seeds has provided free, one-to-one tutoring in basic education and high school equivalency (HSE) preparation to adults in Cuyahoga County. (GED, HiSET). A unique curriculum and one-to-one tutoring offer maximum learning by building relationships of trust between the student and the tutor. This approach allows each student to work at her or his own academic level; therefore, students of all academic levels participate in the program. We offer open enrollment, a flexible class schedule, are open year round, and incorporate technology into our curriculum, creating a strong program that has student retention and graduation rates that are twice the national average. Seeds of Literacy is the only adult literacy program in the county to be nationally accredited by ProLiteracy, and is a 501(c)3 organization.
