Edwin Kwon

EDWIN KWON has over 30 years of technical and management experience at leading technology companies including Samsung, Philips/NXP, Nvidia, and LG. As a Silicon Valley-based LG executive, he was responsible for the firm’s critical external innovation functions where he managed teams responsible for emerging technology scouting and due diligence which resulted in over 60 transactions in the form of partnerships, direct investments and acquisitions. In that role, he was a driving force in partnering with Apple, to supply Apple Camera modules, a multibillion-dollar business. Edwin’s deep domain knowledge extends to Semiconductors, Consumer Electronics, Software, and Telecom Services covers, technical, strategic and transactional expertise. He has personally conducted or orchestrated more than 400 due diligence exercises that culminated in dozens of collaboration and investment transactions. Edwin holds seven US patents in the field of digital video processing. In addition to an MSEE from Hanyang University, he has participated in several key executive education courses and holds a program certificate in Dynamic Innovation from MIT Sloan.
