Akshay Asthana is an accomplished professional in the field of artificial intelligence, currently serving as Chief Scientist and Machine Intelligence Group Lead at Seeing Machines since July 2014, where responsibilities include the development of algorithms for driver monitoring and assistance systems in semi-autonomous and autonomous vehicles. Additionally, since September 2022, Akshay holds the position of Honorary Senior Lecturer at the ANU College of Engineering, Computing and Cybernetics. Previous roles include being a Marie Curie Research Fellow at Imperial College London and various positions at The Australian National University, including PhD Candidate, where Akshay was an AusAid Doctoral Scholar.
