William Noon's work experience begins in 1998 at Genzyme Corp where they worked as a Research Intern until 2000. During this time, they developed production and testing procedures for an experimental implant used for hernia repair surgery and also developed a wet-spinning process for producing alginate fibers containing hyaluronic acid.
In 2004, Noon joined Knightsbridge Solutions as an Associate Consultant. Here, they designed and developed a data extract, transform, and load (ETL) process for a national insurance company's data research and analysis group. William also worked with business analysts to design and implement scoring techniques for analyzing the progression of quotes into new business.
In 2008, Noon transitioned to the role of Patent Attorney at Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP. William worked in this position until 2013.
In 2013, Noon joined Illumina as a Senior Director, Intellectual Property. In this role, they oversaw patent and trademark disputes relating to Illumina's DNA sequencing and genotyping products. William also performed freedom-to-operate analysis and due diligence for new products and corporate transactions.
Most recently, Noon started working at Seer in 2022 as the VP, Intellectual Property.
William Noon completed their education starting in 1996 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science in the year 2000. William then pursued further studies at Rice University from 2000 to 2004, obtaining a Ph.D. in Bioengineering. Finally, from 2005 to 2008, William attended the University of Iowa College of Law, earning a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law.
