Nico Romeijn

Nico Romeijn currently serves as the Head of Education, Training and Development at SEG since July 2021. From February 2020 to June 2023, Nico operated as a Sports and Education Consultant at Romeijn Sports and Education Consultancy, focusing on the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs for sports. Prior experience includes roles at KNVB as an Ontwikkelaar/Docent, and significant contributions to U.S. Soccer Federation as Chief Sport Development Officer, Director of Sport Development, and Director of Coaching Education from April 2015 to February 2020. Nico also had a long tenure at UEFA from 2007 to 2015 as a Jira Panel Member, and previously held positions at KNVB from 2001 to 2015 as Head of Education. Earlier in the career, Nico worked at IVO School, where roles included PE Teacher and Deputy Director over a span of 21 years. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from the Academy of Sport and Physical Education in Amsterdam.
