Ryan Hamlyn has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Ryan began their career as a Project Manager and Web Site Usability Consultant at Giga Information Group in 2000. Ryan then moved on to KOEI Co., Ltd. as a Localization Producer in 2001. Later, they joined Sony Computer Entertainment America and worked as an Associate Producer and Licensing Specialist on various titles such as Lair, Singstar, Pursuit Force, and EyeToy.

In 2008, Hamlyn transitioned to Pandemic Studios where they served as a Senior Associate Producer, leading cross-discipline teams, including Combat, MP, Vehicles, AI, Audio, and QA, and contributed to the production of 2 multiplayer maps for the unreleased game, Mercenaries, Inc.

In 2010, Hamlyn founded Magnetic Games, where they held the positions of Founder, Executive Producer, and Creative Director. Ryan designed and developed a pop-up Halloween escape room, creating scenarios, scripts, set dressing, puzzles, and a companion app.

Currently, Hamlyn is employed at Sega of America, Inc. Since 2019, they have held various roles within the company, including Lead Producer, Producer, Director of Production for Sonic Studio, and currently, Director of Lore and Creative Strategy.

Ryan Hamlyn attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1994 to 1999, where they earned a BA in Japan Studies and Business. In 1997-1998, they also attended Doshisha University.
