Sherri Yowell

Sherri Yowell has a strong background in human resources, specifically in the telecommunications industry. Sherri has held various roles throughout their career, starting as a Human Resources Assistant at the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind from 2000 to 2005. Sherri then worked as a Human Resources Manager at NTELOS from 2005 to 2011. Following that, they joined Lumos Networks as a Senior Human Resources Manager in 2011 and was later promoted to Director of Human Resources in 2016. Most recently, Sherri has been working at Segra since 2019, where they have held the positions of Senior Director, Human Resources and Director, Talent Management & Acquisition. Sherri is highly skilled in areas such as retention, sourcing, team building, employee relations, employee development, and management. Sherri obtained their education in Business Administration and Human Resources from James Madison University - College of Business.

Sherri Yowell earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources from James Madison University from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Transfer from Blue Ridge Community College from 1999 to 2002. In 2013, Sherri attained certifications in SHRM SCP Certification from the Society for Human Resource Management and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
