Megan Plourde has a diverse work experience in the field of special education and recreation. Megan is currently serving as the Director of Special Education at Segue Institute for Learning since September 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Special Educator at Tolman High School from August 2003 to January 2010. Megan also served as a Special Education Long-Term Substitute at Tolman High School from January 2003 to June 2003. Megan gained experience as a Teaching Assistant at The Providence Center School from December 2001 to July 2002 and as a Special Education Teacher at George N Hunt School from August 2001 to December 2001. Before entering the education field, Megan worked as a Residential Councilor at St. Mary's Home for Children from May 1999 to August 2000. Megan also served as an Intern at Elmcrest Children's Center from September 1999 to May 2000. Megan's early experience includes working as a Recreation Leader at East Providence Parks and Recreation in the summers of 1997 and 1996.
Megan Plourde obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Fine Arts, and Education from Le Moyne College, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Education degree in Special Education and Administration at Providence College, where they attended from 2003 to 2010.
