Lorenzo Colaizzi is an experienced Electro-Optical System Engineer currently working at SEGULA Technologies since May 2025, focusing on Infrared Search and Track devices for avionic systems in the defense sector. Prior to this role, Colaizzi served as an Electronics & Robotics Specialist at BlueThink from June 2024 to May 2025, and held the position of Postdoctoral Researcher at Politecnico di Milano from January 2022 to May 2024. A PhD Graduate from Universität Hamburg, with a PhD in atomic/molecular physics completed in October 2022, Colaizzi also worked as a PhD Researcher Assistant at Universität Hamburg and DESY, and gained early experience as a laboratory assistant and recording mixer during studies at Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, where Colaizzi earned multiple degrees in Physics.
