Junjie Shao

Junjie Shao is an experienced design professional currently serving as the Director of User Experience Design at Segway since May 2025. Prior to this role, Junjie held significant positions including Head of UX for APAC at Volvo Cars from April 2021 to April 2025 and Head of Design at italki from July 2019 to April 2021. Junjie also operated as a self-employed consultant and startup advisor between March 2018 and June 2019. Additional experience includes serving as Head of UI/UX at MILDBERRY, a Senior UX Designer/Design Lead at IBM, and various roles at Autodesk, including User Experience Manager. Junjie began the career at Hanna Strategies as a QA Engineer in Industrial Design and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Shanghai University.
