Rita Cortes

Rita Cortes serves as the Executive Director of Menorah Heritage Foundation since July 2015, overseeing functions such as board relations and grant making while representing the Foundation in various community settings. As Of Counsel at Seigfreid Bingham, PC since April 2013, Rita's practice includes general business law and estate planning, informed by experience as a former business owner. Previous roles include serving on the Board of Directors for First Business from 2015 to 2018 and acting as President of Hoffman Cortes Contracting Company from 1994 to 2013, where Rita managed operations for a commercial general contractor. Early in their career, Rita held positions as an Associate at Gordon Estabrook Yeonas & Pesner, PC and as legislative staff for U.S. Senator John C. Danforth. Rita holds a BA in Political Science from Rice University, a JD from The George Washington University Law School, and a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
