Sami Varjo currently serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the City of Seinäjoki since January 2022. Previously, Varjo held roles at the City of Vaasa, where contributions included serving as Senior ICT Planner and ICT Director from August 2020 to April 2022. Earlier experience includes information systems design at the Hospital District of South Ostrobothnia and IT architecture at Mico Botnia Oy Ab. Varjo's expertise encompasses IT architecture, project administration, library solutions, and automation, complemented by prior roles as a board member of the Finnish Library Association and as a coordinator at the University of Vaasa. Varjo earned a Master's degree in Economics and Business Administration, specializing in Information Technology, from the University of Vaasa.
