Burak Firat

Burak Firat is a MWF Field Engineer at Seismos, Inc. since July 2022, overseeing field reporting, data collection, and the operations of computer and physical systems on-site, while assisting engineering and geophysical teams with field data processing and post-job reports. Prior experience includes roles as a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, where Burak conducted a literature review on Enhanced Geothermal Sources and implemented analytical approaches for heat transfer in reservoirs. In 2016, Burak worked as a Production Engineer at Perenco, focusing on operational optimization and economic evaluations, and as an intern at Shell for Health Safety Security Environment compliance. Previously, Burak held a position as a Drilling Engineer at Türkiye Petrolleri A.O., applying drilling methods to meet operational objectives. Burak holds a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Istanbul Technical University.
