Justin Fearon

Justin Fearon has a diverse work experience that spans over 15 years. Justin is currently working as a GRC Consultant III at Seiso, a position they have held since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a GRC Consultant II at the same company from July 2021 to September 2022. In 2022, they also served as an Adjunct Professor at Penn State New Kensington (The Pennsylvania State University) starting from August.

Before joining Seiso, Justin worked as a Vulnerability Management Analyst at FHLBank Pittsburgh from April 2019 to July 2021. Prior to that, they were a Field Engineer at Emerson Automation Solutions from May 2017 to April 2019. Justin also served as a Cyber Security Auditor at BNY Mellon from June 2015 to May 2017.

Notably, Justin also has experience outside of the private sector. Justin worked as a Linguist at Nangwik from May 2011 to November 2013. Before that, they served in the US Marine Corps, reaching the rank of Corporal during their service from June 2006 to June 2011.

From 2018 to 2020, they pursued a Master's degree in Homeland Security - Information Security & Forensics at the Penn State College of Information Sciences and Technology.

Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Information Science and Technology from Penn State University, where they studied from 2014 to 2015.

From 2006 to 2008, Justin Fearon attended the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center and earned an Associate's Degree in Persian Farsi.

In addition to their academic achievements, Justin Fearon has also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills:

- In September 2019, they completed a course called "Data-Driven Network Security Essentials" at LinkedIn.

- In January 2017, they became a Certified Ethical Hacker through EC-Council.

- In June 2021, they achieved the GIAC Enterprise Vulnerability Assessor (GEVA) certification by completing the respective program.

- In March 2023, they obtained the CMMC-RP certification from The Cyber AB.

- In November 2018, they were certified as a Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) by GIAC Certifications.

- In November 2021, they became a OneTrust Certified Privacy Professional through OneTrust.
