Daniel Schoorl

Daniel Schoorl is a seasoned legislative advocate currently working for SEIU Local 1000 since February 2022. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President for Legislation and Vice President of Organizing at the University Council - American Federation of Teachers from July 2019 to February 2022. Daniel also held the position of Associate Editor at the Hispanic American Periodicals Index (HAPI) from September 2011 to February 2022, and worked as a Proxy Research Associate at Glass Lewis & Co. for a brief period in 2011. Daniel earned a Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) from UCLA in 2009, a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies from UCLA in 2007, and an Associate of Arts in History from Sacramento City College in 2005.
