Lupita Aguila Arteaga is an experienced labor leader and advocate with a diverse background in organizing and community service. Currently serving as Vice President and Director of the Residential Division at SEIU Local 1 since June 2015, Lupita has also held the position of Organizer within the same organization. Previous experience includes working as a self-employed consultant specializing in translation and interpretation from July 2014 to July 2020, as well as serving as Investigator/Monitor at Fair Food Standards Council from August 2012 to June 2014. Lupita's past roles include Executive Director at STITCH: Organizers for Labor Justice, Program Coordinator at the U.S. Labor in the Americas Program (USLEAP), Student Services at Merit School of Music, and Workers Rights Advocate at ARISE Chicago.
