Sasha Ongtengco

Sasha Ongtengco currently serves as Program Director for Creative Workers at Arts Alliance Illinois, focusing on advocacy for resources and conditions that benefit Illinois creative workers. In a previous role, as a Contractor for creative worker resource development, Sasha launched a Help Desk to support arts businesses in accessing COVID-19 relief funding. Additionally, Sasha coordinates nursing assistant pathway programs for the Chicagoland Healthcare Workforce Collaborative and teaches anti-harassment and discrimination skills for SEIU Local 1. Prior experience includes directorship at Cara Connects, where Sasha led business operations and developed partnerships, and a fellowship at The Aspen Institute aimed at enhancing workforce development strategies. Sasha's background in recruitment at Cara Chicago and sales roles within the hotel industry further enriches a diverse professional portfolio. Sasha holds a B.S. in Economics and Spanish from DePaul University.
