Programmer Analyst / Contractor at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) at SeKON Enterprise

Megan Wichser's work experience includes working as a Programmer Analyst/Contractor at SeKON Enterprise, Inc. for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) since September 2021. Prior to that, they volunteered at the Feminist Women's Health Center in Atlanta starting in May 2014. From April 2015 to August 2021, they worked as a Senior Research Science Analyst/Contractor at ICF for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In 2012, they were an HIV Leadership Through Accountability Intern at World AIDS Campaign. Additionally, they held various roles at the American Medical Student Association, Virginia Tech Chapter from 2007 to 2010, including Vice President and Global Health Action Committee Chair. Megan also worked as an Eligibility Screener at the Free Clinic of the New River Valley from 2008 to 2009.

Megan Wichser has a strong educational background. Megan started their academic journey at Mills E. Godwin High School Center for Mathematics, Science, and Technology from 2002 to 2006, where they earned an Advanced Diploma focusing on Mathematics, Science, and Technology. Megan then attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, from 2006 to 2010, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA). Megan'smajor fields of study were Biology and French Language and Literature.

To further enhance their knowledge and skills, Megan went on to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health from 2011 to 2013, specializing in Global Health. Additionally, Megan Wichser has obtained two additional certifications related to workplace well-being and diversity and inclusion. Both certifications were obtained in September 2021 from LinkedIn, with the titles "Supporting the Whole Self at Work, a Diversity and Inclusion Imperative" and "Well-Being in the Workplace."
