Karen L. Lewis, JD, Esq. RN has an extensive work experience in various healthcare organizations. Karen currently serves as the Director of Quality Management at Select Medical, where they have successfully implemented quality and performance improvement activities to enhance processes and cost-effectiveness. Prior to this role, Karen worked at SARAH CANNON CANCER CENTER as Regulatory Affairs/Quality personnel, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and achieving accreditation with no citations or deficiencies. Karen also utilized data analysis for strategic planning and performance improvement activities.
Karen has also held the position of Director of Managed Care/Value Based Payment at the State of Tennessee's Medicaid program, TennCare. In this role, they managed various departments and developed internal policies and state regulations. Additionally, they worked at TriWest Healthcare Alliance, managing health plan programs under the United States Department of Defense, where they established systematic approaches to processes and resources.
Earlier in their career, Karen worked at the State of Tennessee's Tn. Breast and Cervical Program, overseeing inspections and compliance reviews of clinical services. Karen also served as a Certified Infection Control Practitioner/Quality Improvement personnel at Tennessee Christian Medical Center.

Karen L. Lewis, JD, Esq. RN completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Trevecca Nazarene University from 2001 to 2003. Karen then pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Nashville School of Law from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, they have a background in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Tennessee State University.
