SVP Enterprise Strategy And Execution at Selective Insurance

Robert McKenna has extensive experience in the insurance industry, starting in 2003 with various roles at Selective Insurance. In their role as SVP of Enterprise Strategy and Execution, they are responsible for driving innovation and applying IT trends to generate business value. Robert also oversees enterprise standards and technology architecture, evaluates proposed technology, and manages the overall technology portfolio. Prior to this, Robert served as SVP of Enterprise Architecture and Information Security, where they developed the enterprise information security strategy and managed day-to-day security operations. Robert also held roles as VP of Infrastructure Architecture and Engineering and Assistant Vice President of Infrastructure Planning & Integration, where they led strategy, innovation, and technology implementation across infrastructure and data management. Before joining Selective Insurance, Robert worked at Prebon Yamane as a Sr. Engineer and DevOps Team Lead.

Robert McKenna has a varied and extensive education history. From 1991 to 1996, they attended the Stevens Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Chemical Engineering. After a few years, they enrolled at Montclair State University from 2004 to 2007 and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance, General. In 2005 to 2006, they furthered their education at The George Washington University School of Business, obtaining a Graduate Certificate in Project Management.

In addition to their degrees, Robert McKenna also holds a certification as a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), which was awarded to him by The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research in December 2019.
