Lois Manton-O'Byrne

Lois Manton-O'Byrne serves as the Editorial and Operations Director at SelectScience® since January 2014, with additional roles including Executive Editor at SelectScience® and The Scientists' Channel, Editor, Applied Science Editor, Deputy Editor of Applied Sciences, and Editorial Assistant. Manton-O'Byrne also worked as an Editor for The Scientists' Channel from March 2018 to March 2025. Prior academic experience includes serving as a PhD Researcher at the University of Bath from October 2010 to July 2014, focusing on Ring-Opening Polymerization of Lactide and Related Monomers. Manton-O'Byrne holds an MChem Masters Degree in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry from the University of St Andrews. Additional experience includes a role as a Laboratory Practicant at Roche from June 2008 to July 2009 and education at Rydal Penrhos School.
