Martha Hourican

Martha Hourican is an accomplished professional in business development and humanitarian efforts, currently serving as the Director of Business Development for Ireland and the UK at Self Help Africa, where responsibilities include overseeing the organization's growth in the US, achieving a remarkable increase from zero revenue to $5 million. Previously, as US Representative for GOAL USA, Martha focused on increasing fundraising and awareness for international humanitarian programs, managing a successful team that raised over $1 million annually. Additionally, Martha contributed to tsunami rehabilitation efforts as Program Support Manager for GOAL Global and served as an Advisor to the Permanent Mission of Ireland to the United Nations during the Irish EU Presidency. Martha holds a BA in History from Trinity College Dublin, an MA in Development Studies from University College Dublin, and a Master of Science in Climate Change: Policy, Media and Society from Dublin City University.
