Joseph Heide serves as the Community Development Manager at Self-Help Enterprises since July 2018, overseeing projects to enhance access to clean drinking water and sanitary sewage in small disadvantaged communities, currently managing a budget exceeding $700,000. Prior experience includes organizing college adjunct faculty as a Union Organizer for the American Federation of Teachers, contributing to significant membership growth, and serving as a Front Line Manager in the US Navy, where accountability for 14 million dollars of advanced electronic weapons systems resulted in a remarkable 97% operational readiness. Additional roles include Customer Service Supervisor at GSI Commerce Solutions, Inc., delivering exceptional service, and Office Manager at Intimate Images, where responsibilities included scheduling, purchasing, and various creative tasks. Joseph holds an Associate of Arts in Sociology from San Diego City College and has been a recipient of the Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation.
