Douglas Kelley has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Douglas started their career as the Director of Health Services at the Department of Juvenile Justice in 2000. Douglas then served as the Operations Director at Cowlitz Family Health Center from 2002 to 2006, where they directed the business and administrative operations, developed healthcare delivery system processes, and implemented programs to increase access to care. Douglas then joined Palmetto Health in 2006 as a Practice Administrator, where they directed the business and administrative operations of hospital-based specialty care practices and led physician recruitment efforts. From 2010 to 2013, they served as the Dental Center Administrator at Palmetto Health, responsible for the operations of a dental center. Lastly, since 2014, Douglas Kelley has been serving as the Director of Primary Care at Self Regional Healthcare.
Douglas Kelley completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Winthrop University between 1995 and 1998. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration at the University of South Carolina from 1998 to 2000.

Self Regional Healthcare is an independent not-for-profit, regional referral hospital that provides care to 300,000 residents of Greenwood, Abbeville, Laurens, Saluda, McCormick, Edgefield and Newberry counties. The health system’s services include acute care and tertiary care, cancer care, neurosurgery, heart and vascular surgery, NICU, orthopedics, genetics, and prevention and wellness services. Self Medical Group is Self Regional’s employed physician affiliate network of 25 primary and specialty care practices and more than 75 physicians. The 450-bed hospital is located in the city of Greenwood, tucked between the Upstate and Midlands of South Carolina. Greenwood is well known for the acclaimed Festival of Flowers that attracts visitors from all regions of the country every year and for its historically rich and progressive Uptown area.
